Two Haivision Deployments Win Commercial Integrator Solutions Awards InfoComm 2012

JVN Systems Recognized for Stony Brook IP Video System; Whitlock for Video System at Church of Champions

MONTREAL and CHICAGO — June 25, 2012 — Haivision announced today that two projects featuring Haivision products have been honored with Commercial Integrator (CI) Solutions Awards. The CI Solutions Awards showcase outstanding installations focused on addressing commercial customers’ specific A/V needs in a variety of vertical markets. Award winners were announced at InfoComm 2012 on June 13and will be featured in the July issue of Commercial Integrator magazine and online.

A/V design and engineering firm JVN Systems was honored with an award in the Health Care Institutions category for a new IP video system at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y. The deployed solution includes Haivision’s Furnace™ IP video distribution system with secure, browser-independent InStream™ player technology, and incorporates multiple low-latency Haivision Makito™ H.264 high-definition encoders. The integrated system was designed for streaming, recording, monitoring, and reviewing confidential patient scans in real-time to improve patient care through real-time clinical collaboration and training.

Whitlock, a national A/V systems integrator, won in the House of Worship category for designing a new video system at Church of Champions, a Texas-based international house of worship. Whitlock installed Haivision’s KulaByte™ Internet video encoder at the church to stream sermons live over the Internet. Additionally, the Church of Champions uses Haivision’s HyperStream™ Live Internet media service to simplify and automate video delivery to connected viewers globally, on multiple viewing devices.
