The Haivision Makito X4 Decoder is a versatile real-time HEVC/H.265 and AVC/H.264 video decoder. Capable of decoding live video SRT, UDP and RTP streams at very low latency, the Makito X4 Decoder is ideal for live broadcast, bi-directional interviews, remote production, sports coverage, and real-time monitoring.
Support for metadata and slice-based encoding makes it an ideal solution for mission-critical video applications.

Video Decoder for live low latency, broadcast quality streaming
The Makito X4 Decoder can receive up to four different 1080p50/60 HD streams, or a single 2160p50/60 4K UHD stream over IP – along with 16 channels of digital stereo audio per decode. Streams encoded with either 8- or 10-bit pixel depths and 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 chroma subsampling can be decoded and output as 12G SDI video for 4K content or HD video with up to four 3G-SDI outputs.
The Makito X4 Decoder can decode and output HDR video, with PQ or HLG transfer functions. For mission-critical video applications where low latency is critical, the Makito X4 Decoder can also be used to decode slice-based encoded video. It can be used to decode low-latency video streams from any Makito encoder including the Makito X4 Encoder and the Makito X1 Rugged.

The Makito X4 Decoder is compatible with the Haivision EMS and Haivision Hub for centrally managing, monitoring, and configuring multiple Makito encoders and decoders. With Haivision Hub, you can create, start, and stop IP video routes between Haivision encoders and decoders.
Providing a significant boost in operational efficiency, Haivision EMS allows you to monitor device statuses, assign tags to group and filter based on a device’s function or location, as well as performing upgrades to individual devices or batch upgrades to multiple devices across different locations.
