Montreal Personalities to Grace the Runway for Alzheimer Groupe Fundraiser, ‘A Closet Affair’

Community and Business Leaders Will Be Professionally Styled for Role in Fashion Show.

MONTREAL — March 17, 2010 — Alzheimer Groupe Inc. today announced that it will host “A Closet Affair,” a fundraising fashion show featuring 14 well-known Montreal personalities, on April 14 at the eXcentris theater on Boulevard Saint-Laurent. The professionally styled “fashionistas” gracing the catwalk will include Mirko Wicha, Etty Bienstock, Nancy Bloomfield, Geraldine Caldart-Hart, Suki Park, Lisa Cohen, Vince Guzzo, Hal Hannaford, Dale King, Kosta Markoglou, Christine Pickrell, Aaron Rand, Nada Rouabhia, and Claire Webster.

“Montreal personalities are putting their best foot forward and coming out in force to help us increase Alzheimer’s awareness and raise the funds that make our work at the Alzheimer Groupe possible,” said Linda Israel, executive director at Alzheimer Groupe Inc. “The evening promises to be entertaining for all, and we’re very pleased with the enthusiastic response from participants and the broader community.”

Alzheimer Groupe provides support and educational resources for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families, friends, and other loved ones. The organization’s professional help-line staff responds to the need for immediate assistance, and consultation is available on a one-to one basis to families and significant others. Support groups address individual and family concerns from pre- and early diagnosis stages, through the mid-to-late stages, to post-bereavement.

Supporting the evening’s entertainment are sponsors including HaiVision Network Video, Café Méliès, Shmink, Château De Beauté Evita, MoroccanOil, Victoria Park, and eXcentris. In a first for the Alzheimer Groupe, Montreal-based HaiVision will partner with SKIPA TV and Wowza Media to stream the fundraising event live on the Internet and will be available for viewing online at www.skipa.tv/aClosetAffair/ and in HaiVision’s booth #SL4424, at 2010 NAB in Las Vegas.
