FreeCaster Brings European Commission Conference to Global Community With Haivision’s KulaByte™ Internet Encoders

Europe's Premier Forum on International Affairs and Development Cooperation Delivered to a Global Audience — 36 Simultaneous Internet Video Streams Using KulaByte Encoders

MONTREAL and CHICAGO — Dec. 15, 2011 — Haivision Network Video today announced that FreeCaster.tv is broadcasting the European Development Days (EDD) conference live from the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, Poland, using Haivision’s KulaByte™ Internet encoders. FreeCaster is simultaneously streaming three different conference rooms in four languages and at three bit rates for delivery to Flash-enabled computers and mobile devices. A total of 36 simultaneous streams are being generated using Haivision’s KulaByte Internet encoders.

The conference sessions can be seen live on Thursday, Dec. 15, and Friday, Dec. 16. Organized by the European Commission and the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, EDD is Europe’s premier forum on international affairs and development cooperation. This year’s EDD conference brings together business and political leaders including José-Manuel Durão Barroso, president of the European Commission, and officials from global institutions such as The World Bank, the European Investment Bank, and many others.
