Introducing the Makito X1 Rugged from Haivision. An ultra compact video encoder designed for the toughest of missions. The Makito X1 Rugged features two encoding cores for delivering high quality, full motion video at ultra low latency and at very low bit rates.

The Makito X1 Rugged can encode from SDI and composite video sources in SD or HD. A single video input can be encoded as two separate streams at different bit rates, in H.264 or HEVC. Full motion video can be streamed over UDP, RTP, SRT and kept secure with AES encryption.

Lightweight and compact, the Makito X1 Rugged consumes only 5.5 watts of power. Fully compliant with STANAG and MISB standards, the Makito X1 Rugged is ready for deployment. The Makito X1 Rugged is designed to withstand shock and vibration, harsh weather, and extreme temperatures.

Real-time KLV metadata can be ingested and streamed along with the encoded video. The Makito X1 Rugged is available as an appliance or a board for integration with all types of systems and platforms. With the Makito X1 Rugged, deliver pristine video at very low bit rates and an ultra low latency for mission critical applications from anywhere to anywhere.
