Haivision Turns 15

Marking a Milestone: Haivision Turns 15!

Last month marked a momentous milestone for Haivision – the company turned 15!  Since its inception in 2004, Haivision has experienced tremendous growth and success and has today earned a reputation as both a leader and a pioneer in high performance video streaming solutions. There’s no doubt about it though, the best is still to come!

We’ve Come a Long Way

Although Haivision has evolved a great deal over the past 15 years, the company has held steadfast to its commitment to innovation and solving its customers’ most pressing video challenges. The open sourcing of its Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol in 2017, is a perfect example of how Haivision is committed to both better serving its customers and delivering value to the streaming industry as a whole. It’s collaboration at its finest.

Shared Success

Haivision is fortunate to serve more than 25,000 government, enterprise, broadcast and house of worship organizations around the globe with its video streaming solutions. Customers like Microsoft, Sky, SAP, Tencent, LinkedIn, BT Sport, NASA, the Department of Defense, NBC Sports, and the NFL rely on Haivision for video solutions that help them stream broadcast quality, low-latency video from anywhere. Haivision’s unwavering commitment to serve and delight its customers and ensure the success of their projects is what continues to drive and inspire the team to innovate and deliver above and beyond expectations.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

It might sound like a cliché but it’s true! Haivision owes its success not only to its customers but also to its exceptional team of passionate and motivated employees who are always willing to go the extra mile. To commemorate this special occasion and to share its appreciation of their valuable contribution, Haivision commissioned a one of a kind mosaic for its head office in Montreal. The piece includes the names of all its employees worldwide and serves as a visual reminder that collectively when people work together, the net result is far greater than the individual contributions of its members. The whole really is greater than the sum of its parts. You can watch the time lapse of how it was made below.

A Bright Future Ahead

Mirko Wicha, Haivision founder and CEO, shares his thoughts on this milestone.

“Growing from start-up to an industry leader calls for celebration. It also calls for forward-thinking as, without a doubt, our greatest accomplishments still lie ahead of us. Thanks to our team of dedicated, talented and visionary employees, Haivision has continued to grow and innovate to deliver the best possible solutions for our customers. I’m so proud to be a part of this family and I look forward to seeing what’s in store for us for the next chapter.”

So what do the next 15 years look like for Haivision? Haivision CMO, Peter Maag comments:

“Our mission and focus remain the same – to continue to innovate and engineer high performance, low latency video solutions that are secure, reliable and easy to deploy, underpinning the way the world streams video. As we move towards cloud-based solutions, I see a bright and exciting future ahead for Haivision and our customers.”
