SST or Safe Streams Transport is a unique and patented intelligent IP bonding technology from Haivision. The two-time Emmy® award-winning SST protocol aggregates multiple network connections while dynamically adapting video encoding bitrates to match fluctuating network conditions. SST also includes encryption to protect valuable stream content and supports the retransmission of lost data to ensure seamless streaming.

Native to Haivision’s mobile video transmitters and receivers, SST offers reliable, high-quality video transmission over a mix of 3G, 4G and 5G cellular networks, LAN, Wi-Fi, satellite, and the public internet. SST is also a bidirectional streaming technology allowing camera operators and field crews to receive video returns and bidirectional audio from production as they broadcast live.
