The European Union (EU) Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (EU WEEE Directive) requires producers of electrical and electronic equipment to finance the return and recycling of their products placed on the EU market after August 13, 2005.
Haivision products in the scope of the EU WEEE Directive are labeled with a crossed-out “wheelie-bin” symbol as required by this directive. The symbol indicates that the product was placed on the market after August 13, 2005, and that end users should segregate the product from other waste at end-of- life.
This symbol on Haivision product or its packaging means that the product should not be disposed of with general waste. It is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment separately from the municipal waste stream. The correct disposal of your end-of-life equipment will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.
Haivision endeavors to reduce the environmental and human health effects of electrical and electronic equipment at the time it is being discarded and offers its customers the option of returning Haivision equipment to facilitate its environmentally sound disposal.
