Private 5G Innovation with the IBC Accelerator Programme
As part of the IBC Accelerator Media Innovation Programme, Haivision collaborated with broadcasters, academic institutions, and technology partners on the project “Conquering the Air(waves): Private 5G from Land to Sea to Sky.” This initiative pushed the boundaries of broadcast production by exploring the deployment of aerial private 5G networks to enable secure, high-bandwidth, and ultra-low latency connectivity for the live production of sports and entertainment events in challenging and dynamic environments.

Haivision’s bonded cellular video transmission solutions powered multiple technology trials in Italy, the United Kingdom, and France. Visitors to the Accelerator Zone in Hall 14 at IBC2025 experienced these demonstrations firsthand and got a look at the Ultralight Aircraft Trail aircraft from Groppo Aviazione which was used during the Bretagne Classic proof-of-concept trial in France. In addition, visitors to the Haivision booth learned how our technology enables ultra-low latency live video contribution over private 5G using a Neutral Wireless-powered network.
