Haivision Highlights from IBC2022

Following a three-year hiatus, the Haivision team was thrilled to finally be back in action at IBC2022. It was great to be at the RAI to connect with our customers and partners as well as meet new faces. Here’s a quick recap of our IBC2022 highlights!

A Brand-New Look!

Day one of the show brought a bold new look for Haivision. We were excited to unveil our new brand identity on the show floor! Haivision’s new unified identity is a culmination of strategic innovation and acquisitions, marking a new chapter as the company positions itself for the future. As our President and CEO, Mirko Wicha explained, “The evolution of the Haivision brand is a natural next step in the company’s journey to continued transformation and growth. The new Haivision brand identity embodies the core strengths of our solutions portfolio and technology, focused on addressing the challenges of our customers.”

5G Leadership

Following our acquisition of Aviwest earlier this year, IBC2022 saw the debut of all our contribution solutions under the new Haivision identity. We shared announcements about new features added to our 5G remote production solutions including Haivision Pro4 and Haivision Rack mobile video encoders and transmitters as well as enhancements to Haivision StreamHub, our advanced mobile video receiver. The Haivision Pro460 also won a “Best of Show at IBC 2022” award from TVB Europe.

A New Cloud-Based Solution: Introducing Haivision Hub MCR

We were excited to announce a new addition to the Haivision solutions portfolio at this year’s show: Haivision Hub MCR. The easy-to-use cloud solution is designed to remotely manage mobile video devices, users, and streams from a single browser window – no installation required. Haivision Hub MCR simplifies master control operations by providing comprehensive oversight and management of multiple concurrent contribution workflows in live broadcast, remote, and cloud productions, providing massive scalability and elasticity, making it the ideal platform for decentralized remote production.

The Power of Partnerships

Working together with our partners at IBC, including Avid and Grass Valley, Haivision showcased how our contribution solutions, including the Makito X4, are perfectly suited for live remote workflows delivered on-premise or to the cloud, lowering costs without compromising quality.

Customer Success: Tried, Tested, and Proven in the Field

Last but not least, we were thrilled to share our latest customer stories that capture Haivision technology in action. Broadcast customers including Gravity Media, Media Broadcast, and International Sports Broadcasting explained how they are leveraging the latest Haivision solutions for high-quality, ultra-low latency contribution for their live broadcast workflows.

“Whether used to complement a wired camera system, or as a completely wireless production, a 5G campus private wireless network — combined with a Haivision bonded cellular system — has set new standards in terms of performance, security, flexibility, mobility, and connectivity.”
