Last week, Las Vegas welcomed some of the broadcast industry’s biggest names for the 2024 NAB Show. With thousands in attendance both presenting and walking the showroom floor, Haivision’s presence could be felt throughout this year’s event.
If you couldn’t make it to Vegas and the Haivision booth in the West Hall, keep reading this post for some of the biggest highlights from the 2024 NAB Show.
The introduction of Haivision Hub 360
This year we unveiled Haivision Hub 360, our brand-new cloud-based master control solution for remotely managing live contribution devices, user permissions, and video sources and destinations.
With Haivision Hub 360, broadcasters can configure, control, and monitor all their geographically distributed live contribution Haivision encoders, transmitters, receivers, and mobile apps from one place. Users can route live video over the internet with SRT and cellular networks with SST. Hub 360 streamlines the management of receivers and decoders, on-prem and in the cloud, for contribution to IP and SDI production workflows.
Haivision powers the NAB Show LIVE stream with AWS
AWS powered live coverage of the show with Haivision Makito X4 encoders and decoders with video transported via SRT.
In addition to powering the NAB Show Live broadcast, Haivision solutions were featured by several of our partners at this year’s event:
- First Mile Technologies showcased camera-to-cloud integration at Avid’s booth by leveraging Haivision Pro460 mobile transmitters and Haivision StreamHub receivers.
- On Saturday, Haivision solutions had a tabletop display at the Grass Valley Forum in the Renaissance hotel. The team was on hand to highlight Haivision’s product integration with Grass Valley’s AMPP platform.
- A Haivision Pro460 mobile transmitter was on display at Sony’s booth following the announcement that Pro 5G mobile transmitters and Makito encoders and decoders are interoperable with Sony’s cloud production platform, Creators’ Cloud for Enterprise.
- Skyline’s Dataminer platform now supports Makitos, SRT Gateway, and Haivision StreamHub receivers and featured several of our products at their display. Our partnership with T-Mobile continues to emerge and they had Makitos and mobile transmitters present in their private suite area.
- Grabyo featured Makito encoders and Pro transmitters at their booth, while Haivision had one of their ingest portals at our pod.
Another award-winning year
Haivision Hub 360 won an NAB Best of Show Award for TV Tech at this year’s event. This marks back-to-back NAB Best of Show wins for Haivision following last year’s Haivision StreamHub win for TVBEurope.
We were also extremely proud to be part of Neutral Wireless and the BBC’s IABM BAM Award-winning submission for the Coronation of HM King Charles III. Haivision was one of the technology partners that helped to win in the “Project, Event, or Collaboration” category, marking yet another win for the groundbreaking private 5G endeavor.

Haivision celebrates 20 years
Haivision is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and we started the festivities with an early celebration at our booth. Thanks to everyone who was able to have a drink (or two) with us and there’s a lot more celebrating to come!
This year’s event was another huge success for Haivision and we’d like to thank our partners, customers, and everyone who came to our booth. We’re already counting down the days to next year and we can’t wait to see you there!
