Haivision Introduces CellLink 5G to Extend Connectivity for Reliable, Resilient Live Video Contribution

Designed for Haivision mobile video transmitters, as well as the Makito ONE video transport platform, the new external cellular bonding solution enables broadcasters to contribute high-quality live video from virtually any location or production environment

Montreal, Canada – September 3, 2026 – Haivision (TSX: HAI), a leading global provider of mission-critical, real-time video networking and visual collaboration solutions, today announced CellLink 5G, a high-performance external cellular-bonding modem and antenna array leveraging MIMO 2×2 technology to dramatically enhance connectivity for live video contribution from challenging live production environments.

Compatible with Falkon, Haivision Pro, Haivision Rack, and Haivision Air mobile video transmitters, as well as the Makito ONE video transport platform, CellLink 5G provides resilient cellular connectivity across Haivision’s live video ecosystem, enabling broadcasters to contribute live video from virtually anywhere while supporting mobile and remote production workflows in demanding network conditions.

CellLink 5G extends cellular connectivity with the latest generation of 5G modem technology for reliable live video transmission from any location. With three 5G cellular modems, each supporting a physical SIM or eSIM, and two antennas per modem for MIMO 2×2, CellLink 5G offers strong signal performance for high-bandwidth transmissions. Connected to Haivision encoders and transmitters via Ethernet and encased within a weather-resistant enclosure with magnetic pads and thread mounts, CellLink 5G can be placed where the signal is strongest – on vehicles, poles, or buildings – resulting in more resilient video contribution in even the most dynamic environments.

When paired with Haivision transmitters, CellLink 5G can be used to increase the number of available modems to provide greater cellular bonding resiliency for live video contribution workflows, even in remote, crowded, or unpredictable network environments. CellLink 5G also enables the Makito ONE video encoder and decoder to send and receive streams over cellular networks alongside fixed-line links. Leveraging bonded networks ensures uninterrupted and high-quality broadcast video streaming no matter the location or network conditions.

Reliable connectivity is essential for live video contribution, particularly when operating in challenging network environments,” said Jean-Marc Racine, Chief Product Officer at Haivision.CellLink 5G extends resilient cellular connectivity across our live broadcast contribution ecosystem, giving our customers greater flexibility while helping them ensure continuous transmission over public cellular networks.

CellLink 5G will be on display with Haivision’s live video contribution solutions at IBC2026 (Hall 2, Stand 2.B32). To schedule a meeting at IBC2026, visit: https://www.haivision.com/events/ibc/.
