Job Summary:

This is an opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who has demonstrated they are able to execute projects, make an impact, and is a true change agent. Under the guidance of the Senior Director, Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Generalist will lead and execute HR operation functions, create standard of procedures (SOPs), support various HR processes and provide counselling of management team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of HR-related projects and programs—including the implementation of new tools, updates to the HR procedures, and other initiatives.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation and compliance requirements for employees across Canada—particularly Québec—and other regions as needed.
  • Well-versed in Employee benefits in Canada and local laws.
  • Introduce SOPs where needed.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to employees, managers, and legal counsel when required.
  • Ensure that data entry in HRIS is accurate and consistent.
  • Assist Senior HR Director with all aspects of performance management—including annual and new‑hire reviews—while also developing, delivering, and monitoring Performance Improvement Plans and addressing corrective actions and conflict resolution.
  • Serve as a backup for various general HR activities.
  • Performs other assignments as directed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluently Bilingual in French and English, speaking and writing.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation in Québec, with additional knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. labor laws.
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to different audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues and risks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
