Job Summary:

As a Technical Sales Manager with Haivision, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s growth and success in the defense market. Your primary responsibility will be to combine your technical expertise with sales skills to promote, manage, and grow Haivision’s business in the defense sector in the APAC region.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, technically proficient individual with experience in a high-level, fast-paced sales environment focused on technology solutions in defense video delivery and networking. You should understand program business and be well-versed in working with military buyers and systems integrators.

This role is part of our global Defense & ISR overlay team and you will be working with our geographic reps throughout the APAC region.

  • Serve as a technical and market expert for the Defense & ISR markets
  • Represent both our video streaming and command center technologies within your market
  • Grow revenue by securing new business from net new defense and SI accounts within the region
  • Grow revenue by expanding business with existing defense accounts within the region
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with key partners and systems integrators within the region
  • Serve as a key member of the company’s sales overlay team to bring your expertise to our geographic reps throughout the APAC region.
  • Work with technology specialist overlays to identify and close operations center / video wall business within the region
  • Advise management of key trends in the region as relates to business models, competitor solutions, and product capabilities
  • Coordinate with marketing on case studies, white papers, and press releases relevant to target applications in specific region.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts on the state of business in the region
  • Update and create presentations as necessary to capture business
  • Must be comfortable with 30%-50% travel throughout the region and be able to do so without restriction.

 Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong sales background with 5+ years in directly relevant technical industry (e.g. Defense, Video Streaming, Program Sales, etc.)
  • Experience with Defense customers is an absolute must
  • Superior verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Superior written communication skills
  • Experience selling to senior executives and highly technical buyers.
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think “outside of the box”.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  •  ‘Whatever it takes’ attitude and motivation to accomplish objectives and close a deal

Bonus skills:

  • Prior defense industry service is a significant bonus
  • Conversant in multiple languages relevant to the region
  • Past experience leading business development efforts with Large Systems Integrators.
