Unicast Streams. Although the Furnace™ excels at taking advantage of multicast to deliver streams securely, some facilities and networks cannot or will not support multicast. The VF Unicast Streaming Server is a performance appliance that will replicate all of your Furnace network streams over unicast as required by all viewers.

Bridging Between Facilities.
To make video streams and all of the related program data available to all users in a remote facility, the VF Bridge Servers package the multicast traffic of one facility so it may traverse the unicast Internet and emerge again as multicast in the remote facility  – seamlessly.

Taming Third Party Streams.
The Furnace natively supports industry standard MPEG streams. Furthermore, many users enjoy the stream control, resiliency, and security of the Furnace FEC and AES encryption. To groom third party streams with these features, the VF Encrypt™ server is available.

Redundancy.
Haivision is committed to secure and resilient media streams and server systems. All Furnace servers are Linux based set-and-forget appliances that have been through the most demanding security scans. The disk systems within the Furnace Media Servers are protected with RAID-5 data redundancy. Haivision also makes available complete redundant servers so that administrators can be confident that any hardware failure can be addressed expediently.
