The Furnace Portable Encoder is a fully functioning single Furnace live encoder with a front panel LCD for on the fly configurations, all in a small portable form factor. The front-panel displays a wealth of useful information for administrators to view and modify including the current network configuration and encoding settings. This enables the administrator to quickly change the network configuration (static or DHCP) to match the remote network in which the portable encoder must be placed to support the live broadcast, as well as make on the fly encoding changes to meet specific encoding needs. Offering versatile video and audio inputs, the Furnace Portable Encoder accommodates most common standard definition A/V sources and enables the generation and distribution of IP video streams in MPEG-1, 2, or 4 “change on the fly” video with MPEG layer II audio. The encoder may also be configured over the network using VF-Pilot, allowing administrators to configure the encoder to meet the needs of the broadcast. Administrators may also login with VF-Editor to record the event for a future scheduled playback or video-on-demand event.
Setup Made Easy The Furnace Media Server arrives preconfigured with your initial network settings. Simply install the chassis to the rack using the provided rails, connect the network cable, apply power, and the Media Server is ready to go.
