Live Encoder

furnace_live_furnace_200.jpgThe Live Furnace Encoder is a fully functioning, remotely configurable standard definition MPEG encoder that can generate AES encrypted secure live streams in a 1U rack mountable chassis to support live multicast broadcasts.

The Live Furnace encoder offers versatile analog video and audio inputs accommodating the most common standard definition A/V sources and enables the generation and distribution of IP video streams in MPEG-1, 2, or 4, with MPEG layer II audio while supporting remote “on the fly” configuration changes. Live Furnace encoders are intended to be used for live multicast of UDP/IP video channels and can also be used to interleave live programming on the Furnace Station Manager scheduled playback channels. The Live Furnace Encoder also supports integration of remote desktop presentations via the SlideCaster feature. VF-Archive is optionally supported on the Live Furnace to record programs as a scheduled playback or video-on-demand event. Live Furnace can output both encrypted video for secure delivery and unencrypted MPEG transport streams for interoperability with 3rd party set top boxes and player technologies. Additionally, forward error correction (FEC) can be optionally turned on to handle packet loss on the network.

Setup Made Easy  The Live Furnace Encoder arrives pre-configured with your initial network settings. Simply install the chassis to the rack using the provided rails, connect your live audio and video feeds, connect the network cable, and apply power.
