Simplify Encoder Management. Hydra™ is a web-based encoder management system providing unified control and management of KulaByte™ Internet encoders and transcoders, reducing the complexity of operating multiple local and remote encoders. Hydra also provides advanced encoder management capabilities including encoder scheduling and an email-based alert system enabling autonomous encoder operations.
No Limits. Hydra, deployed on a Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) stack, can easily be hosted on a dedicated Linux server, in a Linux Virtual Machine (on the encoder server itself), or on a cloud-based Linux server. There are no built-in limits to the number of KulaByte encoders and transcoders that can easily be managed. The number is completely dependent on the capability of the server on which it is hosted.
Flexible Hydra can be used to manage encoders remotely from a desktop, laptop, or tablet web browser. Since it uses a stateless interface, it can be shutdown without affecting scheduled or current encode sessions. Furthermore, multiple Hydra systems can be deployed to monitor the same encoders for redundancy and multi-user access and control.
