Intelligent Recording. Haivision’s Furnace provides powerful network video recording (NVR) capabilities to capture any video stream across the network. Haivision understands that as enterprises record more and more media assets the ease of search and retrieval will become critical. Within our NVR product we have added the capability to apply metadata in real-time during the recording process with what we call HotMarks. This allows contributors to mark important events with any tags they wish. Once saved, users can search within media assets for particular points of interest and even aggregate events across assets for training analysis.
User Friendly Process. . The Furnace NVR system is designed to be controlled by third party devices. To this end, Haivision provides an extensive API for integrators. Haivision has used this API in the development of our own control technology for the iPad called VF iControl (to be released soon). With VF iControl, users can preview and select encoded streams, start, stop, pause the recording, apply HotMarks through pre-defined or freeform entry, review the recorded asset, and publish it to the VoD media library.
