Network video streaming is now pervasive in all areas of enterprise, telecom, and broadcast applications. HaiVision has developed a range of high performance network video products, that span all applications requiring efficient, cost-effective, and easy-to-use appliances to distribute video throughout IP environments, to dedicated decoders or to the desktop.
HaiVision’s hai200 series (TASMAN and OSCAR) is based on plug and play technology, delivered in extremely reliable and compact form factors. These appliances are ideal for aggregating and distributing full resolution, full frame rate video. The OSCAR provides efficient full resolution MPEG-4 AVC H.264 encoding or decoding and is available in an ultra compact chassis form factor. The OSCAR streams at up to 1.5 Mbps, and through RTSP, is directly compatible with QuickTime players and streaming environments. As well, through Wowza Media servers, the OSCAR is an ideal appliance for direct to Flash streaming.
The TASMAN provides HaiVision’s MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 technology in a compact rackmount chassis, available as an encoder only or encoder / decoder system. The TASMAN streams MPEG-4 AVC at up to 2 Mbps for very efficient DVD quality video applications. This is the ideal product for deployments over T1 or DSL infrastructures. The TASMAN Digital now supports SDI with digital audio.
HaiVision is dedicated as well to the management of network video systems. To this end, we have developed haiPLAY, a stand-alone soft player that supports multiple formats (MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC, and xGA) within multiple windows. haiPLAY is also part of the haiVIEW Session Management platform, which includes a Software Development Kit (SDK) that integrators can use to customize the look and feel of haiPLAY applications, to create their own value-added network video systems.
