    Haivision Wins Two Streaming Media West Reader’s Choice Awards

    Categories: Best Live Hardware Encoder & Best Multi-Screen/OTT Solution for Content Publishers

    Haivision’s Makito™ encoder and HyperStream™ Live streaming solution were chosen by U.S. readers of Streaming Media Magazine as 2012 Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Award winners. Makito received top honors in the Live Hardware Encoder category, while HyperStream Live was selected as Best Multi-Screen/OTT Solution for Content Publishers. More than 350 products were nominated in this year’s Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards, with almost 58,000 votes cast. The winners were announced on Oct. 31 at the Streaming Media West Conference held in Los Angeles.

    Haivision Wins Streaming Media Europe Reader’s Choice Award

    Category: Best TV over IP Solution

    In its continued effort to harmonize online video experiences across all platforms, Haivision announces InStream™ Amino, a player application from Haivision for the Amino set-top box that provides an extremely low cost IPTV solution for distributing digital video broadcasts (DVB) throughout a facility or across a campus.     Haivision Wins 4 Awards at InfoComm 2012

    Haivision Products Win Multiple Awards at InfoComm 2012

    Haivision's KulaByte Live Internet Streaming was chosen as the Best Video Streaming Product in the InfoComm/Rental & Staging New Product Awards.  The Makito encoder won the InfoComm/SCN Installation Product Award for Most Innovative Video Extension Product.  The awards were given by two key industry publications: NewBay Media's Rental & Staging Systems magazine and Systems Contractor News magazine. winners were announced in a special ceremony at InfoComm in Las Vegas on June 12, 2012.     Two Haivision Deployments Win CI Solutions Awards at InfoComm 2012

    Haivision wins two CI Solutions Awards for two customer deployments featuring Haivision products. Haivision's partner, JVN Systems, was honored with an award in the Health Care Institutions category for a new IP video system at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y. The deployed solution includes Haivision's Furnace™ IP video distribution system and multiple low-latency Makito™ HD H.264 encoders. The integrated system was designed for streaming, recording, monitoring, and reviewing patient scans to improve patient care through real-time clinical collaboration and training. Whitlock won in the House of Worship category for designing a new video system at Church of Champions, a Texas-based international house of worship. Whitlock installed Haivision's KulaByte™ Internet video encoder to stream sermons live over the Internet. Church of Champions also uses Haivision's HyperStream™ Live Internet media services to simplify and automate video delivery to viewers globally, on multiple viewing devices. The CI Solutions Awards showcase outstanding installations focused on addressing commercial customers' specific audio-visual needs in a variety of vertical markets.  Award winners were announced at InfoComm on June 13, 2012 and will be featured in the July issue of Commercial Integrator magazine and online.

    AV Technology 2012 End-User Awards

    Haivision's Furnace Selected as a Finalist for Best AV over IP System for the AV Technology 2012 End-User Awards
    Finalists announced May 16, 2012

    Haivision's Furnace IP Video System 6 is up against Crestron DMPS-300-C at the NewBay Media Awards Ceremonies during InfoComm, at the LVCC on June 12 at 12:30pm, where winners will be announced. This award recognizes innovations that benefit end-users, technology managers, and facility directors. Winners are selected based on ROI, ease of use, reliability, versatility, and overall network impact. The jury panel of judges included George Mason University's Matthew Silverman, CTS-D, AV Help Desk's Christopher Neto, CTS, University of California, Los Angeles' Greg Brown, CTS-D, Project Green AV's Gina Sansivero, and InfoComm Adjunct Instructor Christopher Maione, CTS-D. The IBC Innovation Awards are unique in the sense that they recognize how suppliers and customers work together to create something truly innovative, celebrating the application of technology in bringing creative, commercial or operational benefits to the end user. Among the finalists was TV Barrandov in the Czech Republic who is now on air in HD using both DVB-T and IPTV, thanks to Haivision Network Video with Mattes and MediaStream.
